What this policy covers

This policy covers the Recover.md marketing site and private-beta waitlist. The desktop product is still in development; its final privacy documentation will be published before release.

Information we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, confirmation status, signup source, and standard request metadata used to prevent abuse. If you later answer optional research questions, we may also collect your operating system, Markdown editor, approximate workspace size, and recovery needs.

How we use it

We use this information to confirm your request, manage the private beta, invite appropriate testers, improve product planning, prevent automated abuse, and send essential product updates. We do not sell personal information.

Analytics

If privacy-preserving site analytics are enabled, email addresses and form answers are never sent to the analytics provider.

Service providers

The waitlist is designed to use Vercel for hosting, Neon for database infrastructure, and Resend for transactional email. These providers process limited data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

Retention and choices

We keep waitlist information while the beta is active or until it is no longer needed. Every confirmation email includes a way to unsubscribe. You may also request access or deletion by emailing privacy@recover.md.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material updates will be reflected by the date above and, when appropriate, communicated by email.
